Our daily living will never be complete without audio. Experts recommend that Audio’s involvement in the classroom instruction increases the retention of key ideas by the students. Movie experiences in different genres are enhanced and become more exciting with the right compliments of audio to every scene. Communication through video calls also requires good audio to have a better exchange of thoughts. Music, which is known to be the language of the soul, is also in the form of audio and something that would make living incomplete without its existence.
Your laptops, smartphones, desktops, or other gadgets might already have their own audio system, but we tend to use speakers and other audio devices to modify the sound quality according to what we like.
If you are using windows 10, and wishing to have some adjustments to the quality of the sound that you are listening to, here are some steps on how to do so:
Volume Adjustment. Increasing or decreasing the volume of the sound that you are listening to is the most common and most often the first thing that we knew when dealing with audio devices. To access this basic audio setting, simply look for the Speakers notification located at the taskbar. The slider can be used to adjust the volume. The speaker icon located in the volume menu can be clicked if you wish to mute your audio.
Switching to audio devices. Sometimes, we use the own audio of our devices; however, other times we opt to use speakers for louder and better audio quality. Windows 10 made it easier to switch among audio devices that you wish to use. Look for the audio icon in the notification area. Then, select the audio device that you want to use.
Managing multiple audio sources. Multi-tasking is almost done by everyone. Sometimes we tend to open multiple applications in our gadgets and each application has its own sound. To manage the volume of sound from these applications, you may look for the volume mixer and adjust or mute the sound of an application. When using multiple applications and there is an interrupting video call, Windows can provide a setup where the audio of the active application decreases so that you can have a good communication.
Adjustment on external audio devices. Bass and the loudness of external devices can be modified through Sound Settings playback options.
If the upgrade to Windows 10 is just too recent, chances are you won’t be able to hear sound. You must first check the volume adjustment and the compatibility of your audio driver. It is also advised to uninstall and reinstall your audio device. Use the shortcut keys – the Windows key and X. Choose the Device Manager by clicking on it, and then look for the tab with sound, video, and game controllers. To uninstall the audio device, simply right-click your mouse. Restart your laptop or computer, then, check if Windows redetect the problem in the audio.
